Welcome to the PERFECT  literature database. The database is organized
by IMAR, and it aims to be a useful resource
for locating oceanographic literature references.
The idea behind this database is to unify information on systems and processes, and to cover titles in the areas of marine geology, physics, chemistry and biology. The references which are listed in the database were sourced mainly in three ways:
Literature concerning Portuguese ecosystems
Literature obtained within research projects in which IMAR has participated
Papers written by members of IMAR
The scope of the database comprehends not only open ocean and coastal areas, but also embayments, estuaries and some freshwater titles.
Currently, there are 19 systems and 1042 references
in the database.
The database can be searched in several different ways,
allowing you to look at references for a particular subject area, for a specific
ecosystem, by date, and by author.
The development of the website is in progress. You can
expect major additions over the coming years, both in terms of number of references
and in terms of functionality.
